49th Annual Sports Meet (2025–26)
Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Sector–5, Bokaro Steel City, successfully organised its 49th Annual Sports Meet (2025–26) on 13 December 2025 at the school playground. The event commenced at 8:30 a.m. in an atmosphere marked by discipline, enthusiasm and active participation from students, staff and parents, reflecting the institution’s commitment to holistic education. The occasion was graced by Shri Harvinder Singh, IPS, Superintendent of Police, Bokaro, as the Chief Guest, in the esteemed presence of Shri Vipul Kumar Singh, Principal, Rainbow Public School; Shri Sajeev Thakur, Principal, Mount Scion School; Shri S. K. Mishra, Principal, D.A.V Public School, Sector–4; and Smt. Anuradha Singh, Principal, D.A.V Public School, Sector–6. The programme was further sanctified by the holy presence of the Vidyalaya’s Reverend Acharya , Swamini Samyuktanandaji. The programme began with a soulful Welcome Song by the School Choir of Class XI, followed by the Welcome Address by the Principal, Shri Suraj Sharma, who highlighted the importance of sports in nurturing discipline, teamwork and perseverance among students. The Inaugural Ceremony featured the Flag Hoisting and March Past, led by Shri Hari Har Pandey and the Student Council, followed by Torch Lighting and Oath Taking, symbolising the spirit of fair play and sportsmanship. A series of vibrant cultural and physical performances—including the Jharkhand Dance, Mass Drill (Bumblebee), PT, Yoga and Standing Asanas, Umbrella Dance, Pyramid Display and Zumba Dance—were presented by students across various classes, earning wide appreciation from the audience. In an interesting turn of events, special sports activities such as Tug-of-War, Relay Race and Sprint were organised for parents and staff members from various departments of the Vidyalaya. These events added excitement to the programme and strengthened the spirit of camaraderie and collective participation. In his address, the honourable Chief Guest motivated the students with his inspiring words and formally declared the Annual Athletic Meet open. He also distributed prizes for the field events and inaugurated the newly constructed Basketball Courtyard. Based on overall performance, Prithvi House emerged as the Champion, followed by Agni House , Vayu House and Jal House , securing the second, third and fourth positions respectively. The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks by the Head of the Department of Physical Education, Shri Hari Har Pandey , followed by the Vidyalaya Song and the Lowering and Handing Over of the Flag. The Sports Meet concluded on a note of pride, unity and sportsmanship, leaving lasting impressions on all present.

Inter-School Cross-Cultural Dance Competition
Inter-School Cross-Cultural Dance Competition Showcases India’s Heritage at Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Bokaro India’s cultural heritage and diversity, which establish the nation as a world leader, came alive in a spectacular way at Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Bokaro, on Friday during the Inter-School Cross-Cultural Dance Competition. The event witnessed the participation of 152 students from 10 schools, each presenting a vibrant blend of art and culture through fusion dance. The program was graced by Swamini Sanyuktananda Saraswati, resident Acharya of Chinmaya Mission, Bokaro, as the Chief Guest, while the distinguished panel of judges included Shrimati Ankita Tah, Shrimati Rajani Padhi, and Shri Debapriya Choudhary. They were accompanied by eminent educationists such as Shri Sanjeev Thakur, Director and Mrs. Reena Thakur, Principal of Mount Zion School; Shri Mukesh Kumar Gupta, Principal of Dr. Rajendra Prasad Public School; and Shri Bipul Kumar Singh, Principal of Rainbow Public School. Also present were Chinmaya Vidyalaya’s leadership team — President Shri Biswarup Mukhopadhyay, Secretary Shri Mahesh Tripathi, Principal Shri Suraj Sharma, Vice Principal Shri Narmendra Kumar and Headmaster Shri Gopal Chandra Munshi — who added to the grandeur of the occasion. The program began with Diya lighting, followed by a soulful welcome song and a captivating Jharkhandi folk dance, performed by Chinmaya Vidyalaya students. Soon, the auditorium brimmed with energy and joy as participating schools — Sarala Birla Public School, Ranchi; Guru Gobind Singh Public School, Bokaro; Guru Gobind Singh Public School, Chas; MJM, Bokaro; DAV, Sector 6, Bokaro; Rainbow Public School; Mount Zion School; Dr. Rajendra Prasad Public School, Bokaro; Crescent Public School, Bokaro; and Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Bokaro — took the stage with mesmerizing performances. Overall champions were the dancers of Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Bokaro, followed by GGPS, Bokaro in second and Sarala Birla Public School, Ranchi on third place. To honour the unique strengths of each team, special titles were awarded to them as follows: DAV Public School - Sector 6 : Melody in Motion (Team 9) GGPS, Bokaro : Elegance in Motion (Team 5) MJM Public School : Outstanding Expression (Team 1) Crescent Public School : Flawless Footwork (Team 4) GGPS, Chas : Best Theme Presentation (Team 2) Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Bokaro : Best Choreography (Team 10) Sarala Birla Public School : Most Energetic Performance (Team 6) Mount Sion School : Best Costume (Team 3) Dr. Rajendra Prasad Public School : Outstanding Performance (Team 8) Rainbow Public School : Rhythmic Performance (Team 7) In her inspiring address, Swamini Sanyuktananda Saraswati emphasized the spiritual significance of dance, noting that it is deeply rooted in scriptures, with statues of Lord Shiva and Goddess Durga often depicted in dance postures. She reminded the audience that participation is more important than victory. Echoing this sentiment, Principal Shri Suraj Sharma welcomed the students warmly and highlighted that honest participation itself is a remarkable achievement. The program concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks proposed by Vice Principal Mr. Narmendra Kumar, leaving behind an unforgettable celebration of India’s unity in diversity and the timeless beauty of its cultural heritage.

WORKSHOP ON QUALITY MANAGEMENT AND LEADERSHIP SKILLS
Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Bokaro, organized a workshop on Quality Management and Leadership skills for teachers of classes 6-12, emphasizing its commitment to quality education. The session was taken by Mrs. Supriya Chaudhary and Mr Punit Doshi as a follow up session on Chinmaya Netritva Seminar held in Coimbatore in July 2025. The workshop began with a diya lighting ceremony and prayer, setting a reflective tone. Mrs. Chaudhary highlighted key qualities of effective educational institutions and their positive impact on students. A screening of the film "Lagaan" emphasized the importance of teamwork and dedication. The session covered quality management skills, including the PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) cycle, and featured interactive activities. Teachers provided feedback, sharing insights gained from the seminar. It was a marvelous session. Principal Shri Suraj Sharma in his address stated the importance of leadership skills for teachers. He emphasized that educators should not only impart knowledge but also lead students toward a brighter future, ensuring high-quality education and dedication.

Seminar on Cybercrime, Road Safety, and POCSO Act
Seminar on Cybercrime, Road Safety, and POCSO Act was organized at Chinmaya Vidyalaya in Sector 5, Bokaro, on August 25, 2025 to raise awareness among students about cybercrime, road safety, and the POCSO Act. The aim was to educate students about the laws related to these topics. *Cybercrime*: DSP, Head Quarters, Bokaro, Sri Animesh Kumar Gupta discussed the types of cybercrimes and their consequences. He emphasized the importance of informing parents and elders about cyber fraud and scams. *Road Safety*: Traffic DSP Vidyasankar stressed the importance of road safety, highlighting that minors driving vehicles is a punishable offense. He advised students to prioritize their safety while traveling. *POCSO Act*: Sector 6 Police Station Officer Incharge Srimati Sangeeta Kumari discussed the POCSO Act, emphasizing that students should not tolerate any form of abuse or harassment. She advised students to focus on their future and avoid substance abuse. The seminar concluded with the principal of Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Dr. Suraj Sharma, thanking the guests and emphasizing the importance of following the rules and laws discussed. He encouraged students to report any instances of crime or abuse and to prioritize their safety and future.

14th August – Janmashtami Special Assembly Today, our school came alive with devotion and celebration! The special assembly on the theme Janmashtami began with soulful Bhajans, Kanha Ji inspiring teachings, and a graceful dance performance, setting the ambience for the much-awaited Interhouse Matki Phor Competition among the four houses — Agni, Jal, Vayu, and Prithvi. Students from Classes 6 to 10 were captivated by the energy, rhythm, and devotion filling the air as the Hare Ram Hare Krishna vibes echoed all around. National Doctors Day
National Doctors Day was celebrated at Chinmaya Vidyalaya on July 1st to honour the selfless service and dedication of doctors. Observed on the birth and death anniversary of Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy, the 2025 theme “Behind the Mask: Who Heals the Healers?” focused on the emotional well-being of healthcare professionals. Esteemed guest doctors—Dr. Irfaan Ansari, Dr. Ambarish Soni, Dr. Richa Soni, Dr. Abhay Kumar Sinha, and Dr. Manisha Manisha—were warmly welcomed and felicitated by Ammaji, President Sir, Secretary Sir, Principal Sir, and Vice Principal Sir.
